About Me
Don't Let This Smile Fool You!
Me, in China, on a tour with my (now) ex-husband. I smiled for the picture, but I was slowly dying on the inside. I was in an abusive marriage for 10 years. I had lost my self-confidence, self-worth and my identity and didn't know how to get out...I was stuck! I ended up literally running for my life, with only my purse...no car, no personal belongings. Where would I go? What would I do? My husband was stalking me and hunting me down and I even had to put my entire family on the restraining order to protect them... and I had to leave my job (my employer had to get a restraining order against him too!). I ended up in a battered women's shelter. I was scared to death.
That was years ago, and life is very different now. I often go back to those shelters to speak with women and give them hope. I also go into social media groups for domestic violence, again to share my story and give others hope. I know we all have our challenges and traumas and "not so fun" life experiences, but although many have been through worse, I would not wish for anyone to go through what I went through (physical and emotional abuse) but on the other hand, honestly, I would NOT change a moment of it.
Why? It made me the person I have become today. One that lives with an attitude of gratitude, one that lives with humility and compassion and non-judgment, one that no longer takes things for granted. I'm now in a healthy marriage with my life partner, best friend and soul mate. That domestic violence experience taught me a lot of life lessons and brought me to both my faith journey and my personal growth journey because I knew I had to find Kelly...who I was as well as who I was meant to be, because I had lost myself.
Experiencing the Cellular Alignment Technique has taught me how to recognize patterns and triggers that no longer serve me and work through them and release them at not only the logical, conscious level but also down to the cellular level so that I can be in alignment/synch and make choices regarding actions taken to reach my goals. I have a choice. Life happens for me, not to me.
I am a person of faith and have a heart for serving others...a servant heart, which is why I am so passionate and driven to help other women stop settling, know they are loved, know they are worthy and that they have an inner power and strength deep inside them. They have choices and can do anything...they are empowered and unstoppable! I now know that I, too, am empowered and unstoppable and I want to help other women rediscover that truth! Let's do this!
